Meet John Winsborough, a third-generation builder hailing from the scenic Texas Hill Country. His journey into the world of construction began with a diverse array of experiences that shaped his expertise. Prior to apprenticing as a custom home builder and remodeler under his father, Mike, within the family business, John held various roles with custom builders and trade contractors in the Highland Lakes region. He contributed to building custom steel boat docks, crafting custom homes, and orchestrating full-scale renovations. His versatile background also includes stints as a Lead Carpenter and Project Superintendent, where he oversaw commercial construction and renovations on towering structures in downtown Austin.

John has been an integral part of Winsborough Construction, Inc. since 2009, consistently contributing his skills and dedication to the company's success.

Beyond his professional endeavors, John is a loving husband to his wife, Amber, with whom he has shared life since 2003. Together, they are proud parents to two wonderful daughters, Madison and Lillian.

John's commitment to his community is exemplified by his ten-year tenure as a volunteer firefighter for the Spicewood Fire Department. His selfless service has made a significant impact on the safety of the local community.

Furthermore, John's influence extends to his long-standing involvement with the Hill Country Builders Association, where he has served as a board member for a decade. His dedication to the association continues to this day. Notably, John has held the role of past president of the Hill Country Builders Association on three separate terms, where he played a pivotal role in directing and negotiating a merger between the Kerrville, Fredericksburg, and Marble Falls area associations during his first term. A decade later, this merger remains a resounding success story.

In addition to his commitments with the HCBA, John serves as the Treasurer of the Horseshoe Bay Business Alliance and holds the position of Area Vice President within the Texas Association of Builders. His leadership and dedication to fostering collaboration among associations have significantly contributed to the growth and prosperity of the local construction industry.

John's multifaceted experience, unwavering community involvement, and exceptional leadership make him a respected figure in the Texas Hill Country construction community, and he continues to be a driving force in the industry's evolution.

 Meet Matt Winsborough, a third-generation home builder deeply rooted in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Matt's journey in the construction industry began during his formative years when he meticulously honed his skills across various trades. Early in his career, Matt had the privilege of being mentored by his father, affording him hands-on experience in painting, framing, interior trim work, and a multitude of other essential skills essential for custom construction projects. Among these trades, custom cabinet making became Matt's specialty, and he meticulously crafted numerous sets of cabinetry that graced Winsborough Construction projects during his early tenure with the company.

As his career advanced, Matt made a seamless transition into the management side of construction. He diligently climbed the professional ladder, progressively assuming roles that encompassed crew oversight, project supervision, and culminating in his role as the head project manager for the lion's share of Winsborough Construction's custom new home and remodeling projects. Beyond his impressive construction achievements, Matt has been an influential figure within the Hill Country Builders Association. Serving two terms as a past president and dedicating over eight years as a board member. Matt's advocacy stretches far beyond the construction site, as he invests significant time, including visits to our state's capitol, voicing the importance of building trades education and passionately encouraging the youth to embark on careers as skilled tradespeople.

Yet, amidst his remarkable professional journey, Matt's most treasured role remains that of a devoted father to his son, David Michael Winsborough, and devoted partner to his fiancé, Krista. His steadfast belief in the significance of family as the cornerstone of happiness remains a guiding principle throughout his life. 

Tommy L. Morgan boasts an impressive 11-year career in the construction industry. His journey began in the bustling heart of downtown Austin, TX, where he immersed himself in commercial construction, contributing to the construction of new high-rise projects.

After gaining a solid foundation in construction and its intricacies, Tommy decided to pivot his career toward residential electrical work. It was here that he started to learn the details that go into custom residential projects. A few short years into this path Winsborough Construction crossed paths with Tommy and offered him a job. Tommy swiftly transitioned to the Winsborough Construction team, working on projects nestled in the pristine landscapes of the Hill Country learning the ins and outs of what it takes to build custom homes and remodels.

As he continued to evolve professionally, Tommy smoothly transitioned into a management role within the realm of custom residential construction. In this capacity, he honed essential skills and attributes, transforming into an effective leader and project superintendent.

On a more personal note, Tommy takes immense pride in being a devoted father to two wonderful children, devoting his precious spare time to them and his loving wife as they build their lives together and develop their family values.

Jaryd Jones is a highly dedicated superintendent at Winsborough Construction, with over eighteen years of invaluable experience in the construction industry. With a strong background in both residential and commercial construction, Jaryd brings extensive knowledge and expertise to his role.

As a registered Air Conditioning & Refrigeration technician and a certified welder, Jaryd's diverse skills are an invaluable asset to our team. His proficiency in new home construction, steel buildings, and boat docks guarantees that projects under his supervision are executed with precision and the highest standards of craftsmanship.

In addition to his construction expertise, Jaryd is also an adept construction equipment operator. His proficiency in handling and coordinating various equipment contributes to the smooth progress and successful completion of our projects.

Born and raised in the Lone Star State, Jaryd is a proud Texan who takes pride in his roots. He is a loving father to two children and cherishes quality time spent with his family and friends outside of work. Whether it's hosting barbecues or enjoying the serene beauty of the Highland Lakes, he embraces the joys of relaxation and bonding with loved ones.

Having been born and raised in Austin, Texas, and residing in the hill country for the past four decades, Jimmy McCandless (JJ) brings a deep-rooted connection to the local community. With an impressive 31 years of experience in building maintenance with the State of Texas, JJ has honed a wide range of skills, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, minor construction, fire systems, chillers/boilers, and controllers. Throughout this time, JJ also excelled in supervising multiple maintenance trades, ensuring smooth operations and efficient execution.

As a testament to JJ's expertise, he holds a Master HVAC license. This qualification adds value to JJ's ability to tackle complex challenges and find effective solutions in the field.

JJ briefly transitioned to the role of a property manager for three years, gaining additional insights into the management and upkeep of properties. However, his passion for public service led him back to work as a Maintenance Manager for The General Land Office (GLO), Texas State Veterans Homes Division. In this capacity, JJ assumed responsibility for overseeing maintenance and new construction projects across all state veterans' homes and cemeteries. His remarkable leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of building systems played a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards required to serve the veterans' community. After eight fulfilling years, JJ retired from his position at the GLO.

JJ continues to contribute his expertise on an as-needed basis for Winsborough Construction. His extensive experience, combined with his strong work ethic and dedication, make JJ an irreplaceable asset to the company. By leveraging his vast skill set and practical knowledge, JJ consistently delivers exceptional results and ensures that projects are executed with the utmost professionalism and precision.

Driven by her initial passion for education, Trish dedicated many years to teaching in a local private school, where she honed her skills in organization, patience, and grace. However, her natural curiosity led her to explore the administrative side of business. Taking on the role of an insurance coordinator at a medical facility, she gained invaluable experience in bookkeeping, data entry, and other essential skills.

Trish's diverse skill set and wealth of experience make her an indispensable asset to Winsborough Construction, Inc. Her eagerness to delve into the administrative intricacies of the construction industry fuels her excitement for personal and professional growth. She is committed to providing exceptional assistance to our vendors and clients, fostering strong and enduring professional relationships.

Outside of work, Trish cherishes quality time with her husband and three children, fully embracing the natural beauty of the Hill Country. They engage in various outdoor activities, exploring the local lake and trails. Living in this tight-knit community, Trish and her family appreciate the Hill Country's daily wonders and feel privileged to raise their children in such a remarkable environment.

Trish is thrilled to be part of the Winsborough team and our mission to help clients build or renovate their dream homes. Maddie is our newest team member at WCI. She represents her family's fourth consecutive generation in the custom home-building business. Her deep-seated roots in the heart of the Texas Hill Country have fostered an unwavering connection to our company's rich heritage.

Maddie's recent appointment within our organization is a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence, evident in every task she undertakes.

Her thirst for knowledge is readily apparent as she actively cultivates her organizational skills, fine-tunes her interpersonal finesse, and draws from her family's more than three decades of experience in the industry.

Maddie is a full-time Jr. High School student and an ardent basketball enthusiast. She relishes exploring the scenic wonders of Texas with her father at various state and local parks. Maddie enjoys reading and seeks solace and inspiration in the pages of captivating books. Maddie also treasures the moments spent with her loving family, which includes her vivacious younger sister.
